Although born and raised in the flatlands of England where the snow rarely falls, I’ve found myself developing in the world of winter sports and adventure photography. An ever growing client list has allowed me to set my focus to the mountains, and I find myself documenting, as well as taking part in the activities that happen in those environments.
The finished images you’ll see on this site will all have a story attached to them. From working alongside film companies to nonprofit organisations, an untold amount of people go into each shot. This combined pool of talent has allowed me to produce images that, without the help of others, wouldn’t exist.
With my work first published in Australia, it has since been in print throughout America, Europe, Australasia and Asia. I am proficient in Japanese which allows me to work seamlessly throughout the country both through my photographic work and through guiding visitors to Japan. I’ve seen my ties with the Asian media market develop and have recently become represented by Japan’s leading photo agency, Aflo Images.
Modern culture has taught us that a picture paints a thousand words. Sometimes though 1,000 just isn’t enough. For this reason, alongside my photography work I regularly contribute my thoughts to a number of clients including ESPN. This work, paired with my healthy blogging attitude, gives a pretty good insight to my life.
2011 proved to be a whirlwind year with one accolade being the icing on the cake as I was awarded Best Image at the IF3 International Freeski Film Festival held in Annecy, France.
I’m 29 years old and reside in England.
