Happy new Year everyone. I’ll get a post out in the next few days talking through the last year but having just read the news i thought i’d mention this. I woke up this morning with an email from FreeStyle Ski magazine showing me a draft of the latest issue. Seeing a whole section of your images is a great way to start the week and it has a special surreal twist as i actually spent the whole of today sightseeing around London with Japanese [...] It all seemed a bit surreal this morning flying over the Swiss Alps at sunrise. Looking down at the beautiful snow covered mountains it seemed strange to be heading to London…..for snowboarding. So here i am, after another night on a bench in Zurich i’ve made it to London. Freeze time! I’ve been a little tied up of late as i’ve been training for the Istanbul Marathon which is being held this weekend. Months of training has come to an end and with practice half marathons being completed in Sydney and last week in London, i’m now ready to go, well as ready as i can [...] Ever tried a Cab spin? Cab 1, Cab 5, Cab 7??? The original Cab spins come from skating but snowboarders too use this terminology whilst spinning switch frontside. I’ve just spent the weekend around Cronulla Beach in the Sydney suburbs for the finals of the Red Bull junior surf masters. After 2 weeks of relatively no swell it was good to see that at least a little swell had developed for the competition. Brett Burcher was the eventual winner from todays finals and [...] Having finally caught up on some sleep i can now look forward to a hectic weekend tying up loose ends before i bid farewell to this years summer and head to the winter. Its going to be my first time in Australia for 9 years so can’t wait to get stuck in down there. Before [...] Today is my recovery day after the Big Chill Festival which was this weekend. With hundreds of shots of musicians to wade through i thought i’d share some night time images which were taken predominately on Saturday night. The whole of Saturday was alcohol free for me so i took advantage of the fact and [...] It’s quite a strange feeling having a laptop at a music festival, it goes against the whole idea of letting go for the weekend. As i have mine here though i think i’ll show you a couple of more images from last night. The zombies came, as did the rain but with beautiful sunshine and [...] I’m just at Big Chill music festival with a load of Zombies. |
