I woke up this morning with an email from FreeStyle Ski magazine showing me a draft of the latest issue. Seeing a whole section of your images is a great way to start the week and it has a special surreal twist as i actually spent the whole of today sightseeing around London with Japanese [...] It all seemed a bit surreal this morning flying over the Swiss Alps at sunrise. Looking down at the beautiful snow covered mountains it seemed strange to be heading to London…..for snowboarding. So here i am, after another night on a bench in Zurich i’ve made it to London. Freeze time! I just stumbled across the final edit from the One Hit Wonder event that i was at whilst in Australia last month. It was such a cool event to be involved with and you can see how the chilled vibe attracted some insane action. The double front flip with superman in the middle gets me [...] Which ever way you look at this jump you’ll agree its massive. Thredbo resort has built this monster end of season kicker for a select few to enjoy in this spring month. I’m here for the week for the One Hit Wonder where a group of skiers and snowboarders compete to get a trick locked down [...] I’ve just returned from a great week in the French Alps and now begin the task of editing everything from the trip. My snowboard was reunited with me at Lyon airport yesterday evening. I think it had a fun week without me. Kumi Yama – A French Organised, Japanese-themed ski and snowboard competition held in Les Deux Alpes in the heart of summer. It makes perfect sense. There’s a website called Sleeping in Airports and i often take a quick look at it to check out if i can save some cash on hotels whilst on the road. Leaving Heathrow at 6am tomorrow made it only sensible to rough it at the airport. Heathrow is renowned for not being very nice to [...] I’m staying at The Pink House over in Niseko right now, a great little house pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The house consists solely of DJ’s with not a snowboarder in sight which is strange considering its location. We all headed out to Sapporo at the weekend for a Psy-Trance night they run. [...] Land of the rising sun and infinite powder, or so you thought. The last ten days or so have not been nice to us with fresh snow and rays of sunshine few and far between. The Asian Open came and went which was dominated by one man; Chas Guldemont. Here he is coping with Japan [...] Its funny how situations pan out sometimes. You can put all sorts of effort into planning a trip but sometimes it just doesn’t work out as planned. Take this for example; i started this trip off as an invited photographer lucky enough to cruise around with a bunch of Australians throughout January. Here i am [...] |
