I’ve spent the day on the computer submitting images to the Red Bull Illume competition and stumbled across lots of personal work thats never seen the light of day. With the snow falling outside and my recent lack of blog posts i thought i’d share some with you. Once again, happy new year to everyone. It all seemed a bit surreal this morning flying over the Swiss Alps at sunrise. Looking down at the beautiful snow covered mountains it seemed strange to be heading to London…..for snowboarding. So here i am, after another night on a bench in Zurich i’ve made it to London. Freeze time! Its amazing what can be achieved if you take a couple of days out of your life and dedicate them to travelling….. Without a doubt this was the favourite moment of the first flight. 6.55am, 12,000 meters above Penang off the coast of Malaysia. Here goes part 2 and its time for the portrait images. Hope you enjoy. Last week over in France it was cool just wandering around the town of Les Deux Alps and checking out some of the resort during the summer months. They have so many chairlifts there and i can only start to imagine how busy and hectic it is during the winter. As for now, just peace [...] After last weeks festivities in the mountains of the south of France, Yuya Nakayama and Kiichiro Kazumi decided to head over to London for the weekend to check out “my ground” as they called it. My tour guide duties included sourcing accommodation (3 sofas the first night and a floor the second), Keeping them hydrated [...] There’s a website called Sleeping in Airports and i often take a quick look at it to check out if i can save some cash on hotels whilst on the road. Leaving Heathrow at 6am tomorrow made it only sensible to rough it at the airport. Heathrow is renowned for not being very nice to [...] I’m picking up my computer after a couple of weeks more or less off the radar. I relish any time i can have away from the computer just giving me the opportunity to get out more, see new and interesting things and, in this instance, learn to play and become completely addicted to backgammon. Land of the rising sun and infinite powder, or so you thought. The last ten days or so have not been nice to us with fresh snow and rays of sunshine few and far between. The Asian Open came and went which was dominated by one man; Chas Guldemont. Here he is coping with Japan [...] |
