Throughout this season i’ll occasionally be blogging over on Document Snowboard Magazine about things which happen or come into my mind as the weeks roll by. For this weeks blog i’ve written some experiences with competitions and in particular X Games which i was at last week. Since then i’ve [...] My hosting company has just expired so i’ve taken the trip across to dreamhost for all of my hosting needs. they give me a lot more freedom with my hosting package so the first thing i’ve done is to get my blog up-to-date and here it is. i’ll cease to use my old blog as of [...] As i prepare myself for a trip to the sunshine later this week its worth remembering that the weather in the southern hemisphere is readying itself for winter. Australian Snowboarder magazine has recently been released and i’ve managed to work my way into some of it. First up is Paul Mcmahon killing “boxzilla” which was [...] Huck Magazine has just released its latest edition. Whilst over in Japan i shot some images of Dick Schulze for this issue. Dick is a 63 year old American who travels the world competing in the Burton Global Open series. Not content with just shredding, Dick enters all of the the Halfpipe competition on a circuit [...] I’m picking up my computer after a couple of weeks more or less off the radar. I relish any time i can have away from the computer just giving me the opportunity to get out more, see new and interesting things and, in this instance, learn to play and become completely addicted to backgammon. I’m staying at The Pink House over in Niseko right now, a great little house pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The house consists solely of DJ’s with not a snowboarder in sight which is strange considering its location. We all headed out to Sapporo at the weekend for a Psy-Trance night they run. [...] The new year trip is now in full swing. I’ve been over in Laax in Switzerland for a week now. If you put the town aspect and the complete inability to eat any reasonably priced food (yesterdays meal plan: bowl of cereal, an orange, 1 packet of crisps) to one side then oh my god. [...] Boardrider Magazine is a Turkish board sports magazine that is growing in popularity in a country that is seeing its snowboard scene improve year by year. Roxy recently filmed a set of podcasts whilst there and this sort of media coverage will surely only develop the scene even more. Cheap deals (£50 for lift pass, [...] Have just seen the latest addition of Pop Magazine, a free magazine based over in Australia. They ran an interview with Australian rider Andy Lloyd and one of my images ended up included in it. This is my first double page spread from last season. Happy days!
