Two weeks ago i made it over to Denver for the Level 1 world premiere. Since then i’ve experienced a whirlwind of a time with a visit to New York and a friends wedding back here in the UK.

Of course throughout all that time there are plenty of images which i’m making my way through. Those wanting to check out shots from the actual premiere can see my gallery over at ESPN but for now i’m going to concentrate on shots from around Denver. Hiring bikes, cruising around the streets and grabbing a few shots along the way.

The SIA trade show in Denver is one of the biggest gatherings of the snow sport trade under one roof. Buyers and sellers hurry around looking at next years product whilst getting the low down on everything that is going to be hot next year.

I’ve had a funny relationship with this trade show over the last 2 years. Last year when i got to the doors of the Denver convention centre i literally bumped into a friend of mine and 20 minutes later we were in an RV heading to Aspen meaning i didn’t get to see any of it. This year the X Games schedule managed to perfectly overlap with the trade show so we left Aspen early in order to catch it in full swing

Seems we we’re a little late. Another year gone, another trade show missed.

So the wheels firmly got put into motion as of this week and here’s a little update of whats gone on.

Firstly, my insurance company paid up this week for all of my gear that was stolen back in November. As you can imagine i’m super happy with this situation and i’ll write a little bit more about my experience at a later date along with reviews of the new equipment i’ll replace it with.

As soon as the money landed it kickstarted my season and i was on the next available flight to Denver. Now usually i’d be a little sceptical about flying into a new city without any plans but with the SIA winter sports trade show on in Denver i knew i’d stumble across friendly faces….

….Which leads me to this. I was lucky to bump into Tatsuya from Bravoski magazine and he invited me along on his little road trip convoy to the X-Games. We powered on through the night and have been treated to a beautiful blue sky on our arrival. Without my new camera set up i look a little out of place but hopefully this will be the start of a great season.
