Cruising Around London, Part 2.

Posted by admin on 01 Nov 2011 / 0 Comment

London Freeze came and went over the weekend and i’m glad to see yet another city big air done and dusted. It was quite a cool weekend only having to get down to London as opposed to on a plane. Nice to catch up with friends and talk about the up and coming winter.

Cruising Around London

Posted by admin on 28 Oct 2011 / 0 Comment

Yesterday i took advantage of a free day in London. A quick visit to the Tate, a stroll around some shops and an evening catching up with some friends post photo shoot. Back to work today over at London Freeze and its surprisingly sunny. Here’s a few snapshots from my much loved Canon S95. Always in my pocket, always making great shots.

Team Japan descend on the UK

Posted by admin on 20 Jul 2009 / 1 Comment

After last weeks festivities in the mountains of the south of France, Yuya Nakayama and Kiichiro Kazumi decided to head over to London for the weekend to check out “my ground” as they called it. My tour guide duties included sourcing accommodation (3 sofas the first night and a floor the second), Keeping them hydrated (with a little helping hand from Red Stripe) and making sure they were fed correctly (“I can feel oil in me” – Kiichiro after his first, and most definitely last, full English breakfast).

They’ve both jumped on a plane back to Japan now but it was good having them here for a short visit. Here’s a couple of shots from the weekend

G20 Protests in London

Posted by admin on 03 Apr 2009 / 2 Comments

The events of this week made it an inspiring one if not rather unusual for my life. It started on Sunday where i attended the polling for the Turkish local elections. The amount of flags that were strung up over the city made me expect big things but in reality polling just isn’t that interesting, 1 hour of waiting with nothing to show for it. As far as i’m aware the party which eventually won the election was covered in corruption with all sorts of tricks being pulled so they won.  Democracy in theory for the Turkish people but in reality it wasn’t that simple.

We love scaffolding

Posted by admin on 26 Oct 2008 / 1 Comment

Who would of thought that a load of scaffolding assembled together in a run-down industrial estate south of the River Thames could be so much fun. Well, this weekend Londonfreeze rocked into town and we were greeted with some wicked snowboarding and skiing action.

drop-in

Like most snowboard events that i’ve ever been to, the day of the FIS Worldcup was overcast and the light for photos pretty poor. I must say though i had some fun whilst on “crash cam” so to speak. Here’s a couple that caught my eye. I really hope that Marco Grilc is ok though as he looked in serious pain as he was taken off the landing area by paramedics.

I’m looking forward to venturing over to Europe this week for the next round of the halfpipe worldcup. I’m hoping for some blue skies and beautiful days but in the meantime lets keep it dirty in this scaffolding dream!
